Process Overview

This solution automates the palletizing process of Atlas batteries produced by Hankook & Company for export.

Designed to accommodate diverse pallet specifications, battery models, and customer-specific palletizing patterns, the system standardizes over 200 production scenarios while ensuring stable material flow.

The system processes up to 10 pallets per minute for medium-sized batteries and 6 pallets/min for large-sized batteries.

Workflow

STEP 1.
Pallet Feeder & Pallet Conveyor ㅡ The system accommodates up to five pallet types per country to ensure a smooth 10-stack logistics cycle. Empty pallets are automatically destacked, transferred, and positioned for battery palletizing, while completed pallets are transferred to the unloading station.
STEP 2.
Battery Sorter ㅡ Batteries fed inline are automatically aligned in multiple stages according to the selected palletizing pattern and transferred to the robot. The alignment process supports 1st, 2nd (series/parallel), and 3rd-stage configurations to ensure the required cycle time is maintained.
STEP 3.
Robot Palletizer ㅡ The YASKAWA GP225 robot picks up and places aligned batteries at the designated palletizing positions, repeating the operation according to the selected pattern and number of layers.
STEP 4.
Honeycomb Feeder & Sorter ㅡ Honeycomb separators are automatically fed and aligned for NO-BOX batteries. The robot switches grippers to pick up and insert the honeycomb separators between battery layers according to the selected configuration.
